HW77/97 guided tuning piston

Original HW77/97 piston from Weihrauch with 6 CNC machined longitudinal slots for weight optimization. The original weight of approx. 260g has been reduced to approx. 224g. This corresponds approximately to the weight of the previously installed 25mm pistons.

The weight reduction leads to a lower recoil and thus to improved shooting performance. Installation is simple, but the V0 must be checked afterwards. Due to its reduced weight, the tuning piston is only conditionally suitable for FAC +18 Joule, as it does not achieve full power here.

In addition, an aluminum ring has been shrunk on for optimized guidance within the system. This contains a highly lubricious, bronze-coated ring made of PTFE, also known as Teflon. The bronze coating makes the PTFE more resistant to deformation and wear.

The piston's bearing prevents metal-on-metal contact, guides it more precisely, and reduces the shot noise.

The bearing-mounted piston only fits in version C (short stroke 20mm) into a compression sleeve with a standard length of 155mm. With flat standard seals, the compression sleeve must be shortened by 10mm to 145mm.
