HW50/57/99 tuning pistons

Original HW50/57/99 piston from Weihrauch, rear-bearing mounted with a ring made of highly lubricated, coated PTFE, also known as Teflon. The bronze coating makes the PTFE more resistant to deformation and wear. This piston bearing prevents metal-on-metal contact, provides more precise guidance, and reduces firing noise.

The premium version is approximately 15% lighter, reduced from 223g to 189g for improved recoil. The muzzle velocity (V0) must be checked and readjusted after the modification. Three Teflon washers are included for this purpose. The weight reduction decreases the muzzle velocity by approximately 1 joule.
